Sonia Giordano Gasser’s biography
Italian by birth, Swiss by adoption, after graduatind as a designer, I gained recognition as a seamstress in the worls of performing arts.
For over 10 years, I created costumes for various choreographers.      Â

At the same time, I painted and exhibited in my city, and I returned to studying, honing my artistic skills.
Distinctions for my work encouraged me to try my luck in Italy, participating in an Art competition organized by PitturiAmo.
I made it into the Top Selection of contemporary art.
With passion, I unveil a vibrant universe of colors and emotions, capturing beauty and imagination by revealing abstraction with a unique and inspiring touch!
The mixes and textures obtained guide me in my creations.
Next comes the exploration of a liquid material, whether on paper or canvas, yielding promising effects.
What fascinates me in this process is the control of the gesture and the discovery of the result once it has dried.
There’s a sense of letting go of expectations about what might emerge, making room for sensations and vibrations to give birth to a work of art.
Paper serves as a key support in this exploration.
Transforming it into 3D by seeking different methods to make it rigid transports me into the realm of sculpture.
I create, cut, fold, glue, and shape it into sculpture; it’s a long and captivating process.“
